If you have a picky eater at home, you are not alone! I am right with you in the trenches. I noticed that many parents find one of the most frustrating parts of the day and wondered how they can get their child to try out new foods without a fight. Therefore, I had to entertain with Amanda Blechman, a registered nutritionist, recipe developer and mother of two children, to help us navigate parents through the tricky world of the keyful food. I loved this episode with Amanda – she shared professional insights into which parents could not help the situation unintentionally, practical strategies to expand our child’s palate without pressure or power struggles, and much more. Regardless of whether you have to do with a toddler, the vegetables rejected, or a child who is only in chicken vengeance in a phase, this episode is packed with helpful tips to make meals smoother and more pleasant for the whole family.

What did we discuss?

As I already mentioned, I had to chat about it with Amanda Celebrities And how we can help you become adventurous eaters. Here are some of the questions we dealt with in our conversation:

  • When you hear someone say that he has a keyful eater, what is the first thing that goes through your head?
  • Why do you believe that some children are charitable eaters and other adventurous eaters?
  • What tips do you have for parents with children who are electoral eaters?
  • Are there any things that parents may do wrong who don’t help their children eat? What shouldn’t parents do?
  • How do you think about “starving them”? Some parents refuse to prepare another, other food for their electoral child, and say: “If they don’t eat what the family eats, they won’t eat at all.” What do you think about it?
    • If you do not agree, what should parents do instead?
  • What are simple opportunities for parents to introduce and promote new foods in their child’s diet?
  • If parents could do one today to really help their child becomes a more adventurous eater, what would that be?
  • Can you share some simple tips for creating a rounded lunch box for a keyful eater?
  • What do parents not know about pediatric nutrition, but have to know?
  • Where do you see the future of pediatric nutrition and what effects do you want to have in the industry?

I only know too well – and Amanda confirmed! – This conquering electoral food does not happen overnight. With patience, consistency and these different approaches, however, parents can help their children build a more positive relationship with food. Amanda’s expert advice reminds us that meals are about exploration and not about compulsion, and that small victories – like a child who simply touches a new meal – are steps in the right direction.
